The U.P. is One of the Best Places On Earth, St. Joseph and Marquette, MI

Growing up, my dad used to take me up here on our way to go camping on Isle Royale. I've loved it ever since. It was nice to be able to drive up there on the way to Taylor and Ilsa's wedding (more on that later) in September, and a real treat to get to share the car ride with Bianca and George.

So much love and so many great people were a part of this wedding. I met Andi and Peder through a mutual friend (Dan Dinner!) almost immediately after moving to Seattle, and we have been friends ever since. When they asked me to photograph their wedding, I jumped at the chance!

The Sugarland Farm, with it's Americana vibe and 100+ year old trees, provided a wonderful backdrop for the wedding.  It was great to meet their families and catch a glimpse of their college days running around Madison. Their day was packed with jokes, laughter, squirrels, killer dance moves, and plenty of Midwest heat.
