On the verge of the season, a couple energy-drinking promoters put together some fake snow and a couple of rails for an event at qwest field. It was cold. Kids were going crazy for free lighters. Ben made the best t-shirt catch I have ever seen.

Clifton Perkins works on his platform at Nicklesville, a Seattle, Wash. homeless community trying to stay permanent. Perkins is building a mobile raft as he prepares for the community's Oct. 10th, 2008 move to a church in the University District. He is a cod boat deck boss who does not work year round, leaving him without a place from time to time.
