Breakfast at the Travelers Club, Lunch with the Shapes Dept., East Lansing, MI

After the coast and a few days of work, I jumped on a plane to the mitten state to see the family and some old friends. After a nice st. Patty's day in East Lansing, we ate breakfast and then headed off to Lois' place for an arts and crafts session to create Tara's wedding invitations. Thanks to positive attitudes and boatloads of encouragement, we created some priceless art for T to use to announce her wedding.

Afterward, I made almost everyone stand up pose for a pic with their favorite invites.

Rialto Beach, Olympic National Park, La Push, Washington

Back to Olympic National Park. After a Hungry Bear Breakfast, we made it out to the coast in time to see the hole in the wall and get a guided tide walk with Willie.

Tara and the Shapes Department, Lansing, MI

Pardon the small digression from pics of the Olympic Peninsula. We will return to the regularly scheduled programming in a moment. As I mentioned before, I was back in Michigan for a few days to catch up with friends and family. Tara's vacation overlapped and a bunch of us helped her craft her wedding invites for will be a beautiful June ceremony on the Leelanau Peninsula. She wasn't really in the shapes department. I'll show some of the finished invites in the near future.

Lake Crescent, Olympic National Park, Washington

When we arrived at Willie's place, it was snowing big, wet flakes. Casey had a laser, which made for some interesting pics. Just beyond the light falling off the house, the park has that sense of gigantic darkness that is all encompassing. Its like you can sense something awesome and beautiful is out there, but its too dark to see it. Needless to say, I was really excited to be out there. It made for a late night.

Lake Crescent, Olympic National Park, Washington

Its been a busy couple of weeks between my buddy Dan visiting out here and my own travels back to Michigan for a few days. While he was out, we took a trip out to the peninsula to see a friend of Eriks who happened to stay in one of the most beautiful settings I have ever seen. After a long night of driving and then having a couple drinks, waking up to a view like this was the best possible cure for a hangover. Thanks again to Willy and the guys at Le Sage for the hospitality. More to come.
