Erin+Dave, Seattle City Hall, Seattle, WA

UPDATE: Check out the full post from the wedding here

An image shot while out with the always inspired Kip Beelman. I've spent most of the last month squaring away a new direction in marketing and other fun business ventures. I promise a return to regular posting is not far off. Stay tuned...

Breakfast at the Travelers Club, Lunch with the Shapes Dept., East Lansing, MI

After the coast and a few days of work, I jumped on a plane to the mitten state to see the family and some old friends. After a nice st. Patty's day in East Lansing, we ate breakfast and then headed off to Lois' place for an arts and crafts session to create Tara's wedding invitations. Thanks to positive attitudes and boatloads of encouragement, we created some priceless art for T to use to announce her wedding.

Afterward, I made almost everyone stand up pose for a pic with their favorite invites.

Joel Hill in My Old Kitchen, Seattle, WA

Joel and I used to play a lot of music together. I mean a lot of music. We were in a group called the royal we, a group called porky and the spokes, a group called mr. nixon, and probably more that I don't remember. Ah, college. He is to this day the best drummer I have ever seen.
These days, Joel spends his time recording bands as well as playing in and around the greater Parker, CO area. See his work here.

Paul and Suzannah, How to Cook a Wolf, Seattle, WA

After finishing up a wine making internship in the Napa Valley, my cousin Paul and his girlfriend Suzannah stopped up here before taking a road trip across our great country. Inspired by the recent Ken Burns project on the National Park System, these two will head to the southwest and then over to New Orleans on their way to New York, stopping at a multitude of parks along the way. To say that Jamie and I are jealous of their trip would be an understatement. Our fathers and their small group of friends have done their best to instill a sense of respect for the natural world in us since we were children, and I think all of us have in some way taken those lessons and made them our own.
I digress. Their visit was too short all together. We made up skits, made some bread, ate some fantastic food, and hit up a few great places to take photos all over the city. This image comes from one of Seattle's finest small plate dining experiences (thanks Uncle Barry!), How to Cook a Wolf. These two are destined for great things. Safe travels!

Cider Pressing, Camano Island, WA

The Combest-Friedman clan invited a small group of us up to their Camano Island farm to pick some apples and make some cider. Those of you that know me know that I absolutely love this kind of activity, so I was really pumped up. We picked, and took a tour of the property, ate some delicious burgers, then headed up to the neighbor's garage to make some cider. A big thank you to the Bob and Cheryl for having us out!
